The course is run in a friendly, relaxed environment and at a sensible learning pace. Run through the BASC assessment center by a BASC trainer/instructor and assessor, we have a wealth of experience both in deer management and in teaching/instructing within the industry.
The course comprises of a series of lectures, slide presentations, videos and discussion. This leads up to the assessments resulting in a DSC1 Certificate for those who achieve the pass grade. Preparatory reading and study is essential.
The course cost includes instruction, DSC1 Manual, assessments, DMQ registration, Certification and refreshments. The course costs do not include, accommodation, meals or any ammunition used when borrowing a rifle which is chargeable as detailed on the joining instructions.
Candidates holding a deer legal rifle should bring it for the shooting assessment. Those who do not may be able to borrow one under the ‘estate rifle’ provision.
You will receive an invoice for payment at the email address provided once your application has been approved. Payment in full secures your place on the course. Allocation cannot be guaranteed before this.
