The Deer Stalking Certificate 1 (DSC1) is a foundation level course in deer stalking. On successful completion of the course and it’s assessments the candidate will have a good theoretical knowledge of all aspects of deer stalking including, the law, safety, ballistics, deer species and their biology and ecology, humane culling, carcass handling and hygiene. The candidate will also prove they can meet a set standard of marksmanship during the shooting assessment.

FIREARMS - PROHIBITED PERSONS Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968 prohibits a person from possession of any type of firearm if you have been given a custodial sentence when convicted of a criminal offence. A custodial sentence (including a suspended sentence) of between 3 months and 3 years prohibits a person for a period of 5 years from the date of release. A conviction of the same duration under equivalent Section 63 2004 Firearms (N Ireland) Order being 8 years from date of release. A custodial sentence of 3 years or more prohibits a person for life. *

We will invoice you to your email address once your application has been processed. We are happy to offer card or paypal payments subject to a surcharge.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – Program, Dates and Venues – Deer Central reserves the right to alter or cancel published dates and change venues without liability. During the pandemic dates and venues are more likley to be changed due to restrictions. In the event of a postponement or venue change we will transfer you to the next available course or offer an alternative. In the event of a cancellation where an alternative cannot be provided by us, monies received in respect of that course less the cost of course study material will be refunded in full. In the event of a candidate cancelling up to 60 days before the start of the course, monies received in respect of that course, less the cost of the course study material, will be refunded in full. Cancellations between 30-59 days prior to the start of the course will forfeit 50% of the fee and less than 30 days no refund will be given. In the case of your nonattendance (excepting unusual circumstances) no refund will be given. All course transfers up to 30 days prior to the course will incur a £25.00 admin charge. Transfers within 30 days will be charged incrementally up to £150 at the organisers discretion. Joining Instructions - On receipt of the completed application form and payment we will issue joining instructions detailing your participation on the training event. This includes course requirements, a location map, venue details and course timings. *
