wow what a full fun packed day . i got there about 5-6 ish .i know i was a little early but i had just driven 200 miles... and it gave me chance to stretch my legs and have a nap. the rain was horizontal and i was sure i seen Noah float past at one point. as i met up with Ben and out to the range for marksmanship instruction the rain had stopped and a little fog had come in but that did not stop us checking our rifle zeros and doing a mock ds shooting test and instruction to get the best results from prone kneeling and standing using support which had taken up till lunch . then after that it all of a sudden just lifted like Ben said it would . after lunch i was stood watching 3 does over the other side the valley Ben suggested we try and stalk in to them. so off we went they was on there way down the field but was very skittish so it may have been a long shot to get on to them but if we dont try we will never know. with bens knowledge of the area we got close to them but the safe shot did not present its self to us as they was on the sky line and was not willing to come down the hill .so off to the other side and in to another valley . we glassed as we worked our way down in to the valley bottom not seeing anything and worked our way across the bottom . then all of a sudden 1 buck and 2 does just appeared from the brash about 5-600 yards away so off we go to get on to them working our way behind the hedge rows and bushes then just the other side the last hedge about 170-200 yards away we slowly got in to the field and they was coming towards us to about 140 yards so i made ready to take the shot picked the doe to be taken she turns to present the shot and one pull of the trigger and she was down . still smiling now remembering the grate day down at deer central with Ben . thanks and highly recommendedread more
