Deer Central Founder – Ben, saw an opportunity to produce the first leather, ‘Made in GB’ 3 point sling when a mass produced sling produced in the far east became unavailable due to a manfacturer going out of buisiness.
We made an exclusive manufacturing agreement with a small scale leather worker and a product research and development process began. Prototypes were made, tested and adjusted based on Ben’s working knowledge of how the product should perform. Many drawings were exchanged and amendments made. These slings were then sent out for wider feedback before releasing them and the marketing & publicity began!
This inital investment in time and capital paid off and it was very well recieved by the shooting community.
We were developing other ways to configure the sling by integrating a ‘Plus Pad’. At this time just for muzzle down carry but many more ideas were in the pipeline.
Due to circumstances beyond our control we had to find a new manufacturer in 2024. Key to this decision was,
After some hard work we found a leather goods manufacturing team in England that shared our ethos and values so we agreed a contract!
Starting from scratch again had many challenges. We invested in consultants within the British Leather industry to help navigate the complexities of procurement of the correct leather and other materials. The craftsmanship process for the sling even down to the method of cutting and stitching had to be reviewed and after a trials process work on some of our new designs began!
After further design and development we announced the evolution of the MkII at The Stalking Show in April 2025 and the first products went out to customers later in the summer.
Many products on the same concept have emerged over the years but The Deer Central Pro Sling has something others have not.

British, hand made high quality sling. Made from real leather with webbing adjustable straps. The Foam centred 63mm wide leather shoulder pad has suede backing for grip.
Its quick adjustable non-slipping system fixes your rifle in a stable and firm position on your back leaving your hands free whilst being easily accessible to bring into a point of aim when needed. It can also be used with a backpack.
It is made to a very high standard of UV and cold proof material in the buckles and straps. All straps and endings are cross sewn for maximum strength. No metal components are used to avoid unnecassary noise.

PLEASE NOTE – We would only reccomend using good quality sling swivels for use with 3 point slings due to the additional tension they are placed under.
