Pulsar Thermion 3 LRF – XR60 & XT60
The Thermion 3 LRF brings practical handling improvements to Pulsar’s established thermal riflescope range. A redesigned focus control, rotating zoom ring and more compact laser rangefinder make the principal functions easier to access, while the familiar 30mm tube fits conventional scope rings.
Both models combine a 60mm F1.0 objective lens with a high-resolution AMOLED display, integrated recording and connectivity through Pulsar’s Stream Vision apps.
Choosing Between the XR60 and XT60
The Thermion 3 LRF XR60 uses a 640 × 480 thermal sensor with 4× base magnification. It provides a larger initial image of the subject, making it an option for users who favour higher starting magnification. Its stated battery life of up to 14 hours also suits extended use.
The Thermion 3 LRF XT60 features a 1280 × 1024 thermal sensor with four times the pixel count of the XR60. Its 2× base magnification provides approximately twice the horizontal field of view, giving more surrounding context when viewing at closer distances.

Central Focusing and Smooth Zoom Control
The focus wheel is positioned on the central turret, bringing adjustment closer to the user and removing the need to reach forwards to the objective.
Magnification is controlled using a rotating ring around the eyepiece, with a removable throw lever for additional purchase. The direction of zoom adjustment can be changed through the settings to suit your preference.
A revised button layout, function wheel and updated menu system complete the handling changes.
Integrated Laser Rangefinder
Both variants include a compact laser rangefinder positioned alongside the objective lens, with measurements out to 1,200m.
Single measurement and continuous scanning modes are available, alongside True Horizontal Distance information for inclined terrain. Both models also support Pulsar’s integrated ballistic calculator and Stream Vision Ballistics.
High-Resolution AMOLED Display
The 2560 × 2560 AMOLED display presents thermal imagery with strong contrast and detailed definition. Nine colour palettes, three sensitivity amplification levels and a smoothing filter allow the image to be adjusted for the conditions and your viewing preference.
Picture-in-Picture provides a magnified window while retaining the wider main image. A wide-angle eyepiece and 65mm eye relief support comfortable viewing.
Recording and Connectivity
Built-in photography and video recording with audio allow observations to be saved to the 128GB internal memory. Manual, recoil-activated and buffered recording options are available.
Stream Vision 2 supports wireless media transfer, live viewing, remote control and firmware updates. Files can also be transferred using USB-C.
Power and Field Use
A dual-battery system supports extended operation, while an eyepiece proximity sensor places the display into standby when you move away and reactivates it when you return.
The hinged battery cover remains attached during battery changes. IP67 protection and a stated 6,000-joule recoil rating complete the specification.
